Our Brand



The story of KVB brand started back on 23 November 2011, at Jakarta, Indonesia.

That time was when KVB brand was crafted by our founder Dian Noeh Abubakar and the co-founder, Daniel Surya, a brand man and a colleague at a global communications group back to 1999, at Jakarta, Indonesia.

The original name was Kennedy, Voice & Berliner and inspired by the speech by President John F Kennedy: "Ich bin Ein Berliner".

Kennedy, Voice & Berliner is about Voice that matters and Voice that creates changes and growth. Our founder Dian liked President Kennedy, which made her use Kennedy as an appreciation to his life.

The colours are red and black to represent adventure and the stage of being solid, with white background to represent humbleness.

As time goes by and global and local business landscape change with more rapid pace and inclusive, Kennedy, Voice & Berliner changed the logo in May 2018.

The website address is simplified to into kvb.global.

The logo is now KVB, as the abbreviation of Kennedy Voice & Berliner.

The colors are now red and white.

Red reflects our spirit of adventure and excitement to pass comfort growth in attempt to grow. The white color represents humbleness and stage of being solid, which are the essentials of learning and listening as the keys to grow.

The red and white also represents the origin of the brand: Indonesia, one of the most populous countries with 250 million population and 50 percent is young demographic and with around 13,000 thousand located at the archipelago, and the flag colours are red and white.

The new logo also marked that KVB has become a unitary consultancy, that KVB optimizes social sciences that co-exist with technology for the venture and brand growth of enterprises, startups, venture capital firms and non profit organization.

Public Relations remains the key offer but we have more including anthropology for technology and growth inclusion, sociology for transformation, sociology research, venture growth strategy and other offers for other clients' needs.

As KVB has been growing, the brand has been growing too.

The sub-brand Voice of Startups was created in 2012, when Dian and Daniel were on the plane and on the business trip. Voice of Startups has been continously growing as one of the streams at KVB and it is about sector-agnostic startups and its ecosystem. Others sub-brands of KVB streams are KVB Enterprise, KVB Wonder (focus on edutech), KVB Co-Venture and Paddy (KVB probono program that focuses on farmers agricultute).

As KVB continues to be about Voice and Venture growth (enterprises, startups and its ecosystem, including NGO), there is a major distinction on the letter V at KVB. The V is double V, as the strong ones hold the others to grow. It is about growth story. It is about inclusion of growth.
